Pro National Weekend on Sunday, August 30

Pre-Registration for the Fly Racing Showdown Series presented
by Lincoln Trail Motosports at Ironman is Now Open

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (August 19, 2020) – Next Saturday, August 29, the world’s fastest professional motocross racers will descend upon Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana for the 7th Annual Guaranteed Rate Indiana National. In conjunction with round three of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, Ironman Raceway will host amateur racing on Sunday, August 30, as part of the Fly Racing Showdown Series presented by Lincoln Trail Motosports. "We are very excited to bring the Fly Racing Showdown Series presented by Lincoln Trail Motosports to Ironman Raceway through this partnership with MX Sports,” said Drew Jackson of Lincoln Trail Motosports. “We are always looking for new and exciting things to bring to the series and this opportunity will certainly compliment the success we have already experienced with the 2020 Fly Racing Showdown Series. We are also ecstatic to be an integral part of 50cc racing returning to amateur day at Ironman during this unique event.”

On the day after the biggest names in motocross take to the Ironman racetrack, amateurs will line the starting gate for a full day of racing action. Sunday’s amateur race will follow the Fly Racing Showdown Series class structure, offering classes for 50cc machines all the way to 60+ Vet classes, Women and various age and skill levels. However, the 50cc Shaft/Shifter Beginner (4-8) class will not run at this event.

“This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to race the famed Ironman Raceway,” said Tim Cotter, MX Sports Event Director. “We are super excited to partner with Lincoln trail and attract their faithful field of riders to amateur day.”

Pre-Registration is the preferred method of registration. Classes will be capped at 72 entries, but if openings are available you will be able to post enter at the event. Pre-Registered riders will have to check in at rider registration during registration hours to verify their bike number, transponder and AMA information. Registration for Sunday’s racing will take place on Friday from 1 p.m. — 5 p.m., Saturday from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. and again on Sunday at 7 a.m. The fee is $50 per class, a transponder and AMA membership are required to race.

Action for the 2020 Guaranteed Rate Indiana Pro National on Saturday, August 29, begins at 8:00 a.m. ET with timed practice. Opening ceremonies get underway at 12:30 p.m. ET, with the first gate drop scheduled for 1:15 p.m. ET.
