CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. (October 7, 2025) – For just the sixth time in 78 years the United States served as the host nation of the legendary Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations and once again the foremost country for the sport's popularity rose to the occasion with a memorable event. For three days the racing spectacle took over Crawfordsville, Indiana, and Ironman Raceway with the one of a kind festivities and fanfare that makes this the biggest motocross race on the planet. MXON Qualifying Recap

The third and final day on Sunday served as the culmination of the weekend as virtually every viewing area around Ironman Raceway was jam-packed with a sea of fans and loyal supporters eager to watch the battle for the Chamberlain Trophy unfold. Each of the afternoon's three motos was filled with tension, as each class and every athlete raced twice. The opening moto featured a mixture of displacements with MXGP + MX2, from which Jett Lawrence captured the win, ahead of Belgium's Lucas Coenen, Slovenia's Tim Gajser, and the USA's Tomac. Fellow American Justin Cooper secured a 10th-place finish, while Australia's MX2 rider Kyle Webster overcame a crash in the first turn to finish 15th.

The second moto was another mixed displacement race, with MX2 + Open. It turned into a dominant performance for Hunter Lawrence who led wire-to-wire to give Australia a pair of wins to begin the event, followed by Japan's Jo Shimoda, who made his 450cc debut, and Slovenia's Jan Pancar. For the USA's RJ Hampshire it was an up-and-down effort as the Open rider ran as high as second, but suffered numerous crashes en route to a seventh-place finish, with Cooper not far behind with another 10th-place finish.

Australia was in control of its own destiny entering the final MXGP + Open moto, with the USA, Belgium, and France all within reach. Once again, Hunter Lawrence seized the moment and grabbed control of the race early, while Jett Lawrence crashed on the opening lap and was forced to work his way through the field. Tomac carried the torch for the USA and battled his way up to second, while Hampshire endured more misfortune and ultimately retired from the moto. Hunter Lawrence carried on to cap off a perfect afternoon and lead Australia to back-to-back victories ahead of Tomac, while Jett Lawrence recovered to finish third.

Australia's 19 points from 1-1-3-14 finishes easily landed them atop the Nations Classification, while late passes in the final moto combined with Tomac's strong finish helped the USA finish in the runner-up spot via tiebreaker with France. The USA's 4-10-7-10-2 finishes resulted in 33 points, with second-place in the final moto edging out France's 5-9-5-5-9 finishes for 33 points.
